Dr Sally Holloway
Principal Investigator
Sally is a historian of gender, emotions, and material culture in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Britain at Oxford Brookes University, where she has been a Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellow since 2017. She is the author of The Game of Love in Georgian England: Courtship, Emotions and Material Culture (Oxford, 2019), and co-editor of Feeling Things: Objects and Emotions through History (Oxford, 2018) and A Cultural History of Love in the Age of Enlightenment (Bloomsbury, 2024). With Ute Frevert and Katie Barclay, she co-edits the Oxford University Press series ‘Emotions in History’.
